Important ONLINE BANKING Notification

In our quest to serve you better, we recently underwent a massive and complex bank-wide system integration exercise to merge both former EON Bank and Hong Leong Bank systems onto a single platform. The integration exercise went smoothly and according to plan. However, we have encountered unforeseen complications and difficulties with our online banking platform, Hong Leong Connect, which we have noted down below along with the recommended actions for your attention.

Please be assured that we are fully aware of the problems and are currently making every effort to resolve these as soon as possible. We sincerely apologise for the inconvenience caused and seek your understanding while our team takes proactive actions to restore our online banking system.

To minimise any impact to your online banking activities with us, please note the following:

  1. Registering Your Hong Leong Connect Account
    Please obtain an Internet PIN (I-PIN) at any of our ATMs to register as a new user. After that, click on <Register Mobile Phone for TAC> to register your mobile phone number at the same time. Log in to www.hongleongconnect.my and click on “Register” for Online Banking to proceed to register with your I-PIN. For security purposes, your I-PIN will be invalidated if you do not register your I-PIN within 7 days. As such, remember to use your IPIN within 7 days. If you have any existing Standing Instructions and/or Favourite in your former EON Bank PIB account, do remember to recreate them at Hong Leong Connect.

    Note: For Credit Card customers, you may proceed to register without I-PIN.


  2. Unsuccessful Login or Transaction
    You might experience intermittent interruptions when logging in or logged on to your Hong Leong Connect account. Kindly try again in 20 minutes.


  3. Viewing of Account Details
    We are in the midst of rectifying the consolidation of your different account numbers under a single view.  This exercise will be completed by 15 June 2012, after which you will be able to view all your accounts.


  4. Fund Transfers and Remittance
    In the meantime, please plan ahead and make alternative arrangements to pay your bills or make fund transfers such as via our 24-hour e-banking machines and branches.
