Purpose of Loan- FSMI2 & NEF2

  1. For working capital
  2. For expansion of productive capacity
  3. Both (a) and (b)

Not to be used for :

  1. Refinancing of existing credit facilities
  2. Purchase of shares
  3. Purchase of land / Real Estate investment
  4. Properties development
  5. Investment holding company
  6. Activities where stock in trade is money (including credit, leasing, factoring and insurance businesses)
  7. Non-economic or non-healthy activities

Eligibility FSMI2

  1. Business enterprise based on the definition of SMEs
  2. Maximum shareholders' funds not exceeding RM2million
  3. Shareholding by Public Listed Companies and Government Link Companies (if any) should not exceed 20%
  4. Malaysian residing in Malaysia and owned minimum 51% shareholding incorporated under the Companies Act 1965, the Co-operative Societies Act 1993, the Societies Act 1966, registered with the Companies Commission of Malaysia or any other authoritative bodies
  5. Not more than 7 years in operation. Discretion is given to Banks to consider SMEs with more than 7 years in operation provided average net profit is marginal over the last 3 years (i.e. less than 5% net profit margin)
  6. Companies in all sectors

Eligibility NEF2

  1. Business enterprise based on the definition of SMEs
  2. Maximum shareholders' funds not exceeding RM2million
  3. Shareholding by Public Listed Companies and Government Link Companies (if any) should not exceed 20%
  4. Wholly owned Bumiputera institution residing in Malaysia incorporated under the Companies Act 1965, the Co-operative Societies Act 1993, the Societies Act 1966, registered with the Companies Commission of Malaysia or any other authoritative bodies
  5. Not more than 7 years in operation. Discretion is given to Banks to consider SMEs with more than 7 years in operation provided average net profit is marginal over the last 3 years *
  6. Companies in ALL sectors

The maximum lending rate of 4% p.a. (subject to changes) depending on the Loan Pricing Mechanism set by BNM

Maximum tenure - 5 years from the date of the first drawdown
