Loans to SME's

Eligibility

  • Registered business with turnover of not exceeding RM50 Million OR full time employees of not exceeding 200 for Manufacturing Sector
  • Registered business with turnover of not exceeding RM20 Million OR full time employees of not exceeding 75 for Services and other Sectors
  • Malaysian-owned companies/institutions (with at least 51% ownership by Malaysians) registered under the Companies Act 1965, citizens residing in Malaysia and entrepreneurs registered under the Registrar of Business.
  • Satisfactory financial track record of minimum 3 years.
  • Satisfactory relationship (if any) with other financial institutions.

Purpose Of Loans

Loans to be used for productive purposes for the business, namely:-

  • Working capital;
  • Expansion of existing capacity;
  • Acquisition of properties/machinery

Type Of Loans

  • Term Loan.
  • Overdraft
  • Trade products such as Letter of Credit, Trust Receipt, Banker Acceptance, Export Credit Refinancing, Bank Guarantee and Foreign Exchange Contract.
  • Loans administered by Bank Negara Malaysia under the various schemes are also available subject to compliance with their respective eligibility and terms and conditions.
  • Various financing facilities under Islamic Banking.

Documents Required

From the Borrower

  • Certificates of Business Registration (relevant Form A/B, Forms 24 & 49 and M&A).
  • Audited Accounts for past 3 years and latest management account.
  • Bank statements for the past 6 months.
  • Company write up and management profile.
  • List of existing bankers (if any), details of borrowings and existing security arrangements.
  • List of main suppliers/purchasers and creditors'/debtors' ageing schedule.
  • Cashflow projections (if necessary).
  • Details of security offered. For landed properties, to include a valuation report, copy of land title and sale and purchase agreement (where applicable).

From the director(s)/guarantor(s)

  • Copies of Identity Card or Passport of director(s) /Guarantor(s).
  • Last 3 years Income Tax Form Return (Form J).
  • Any other documents as evidence of income
  • Details of personal assets and liabilities.

If guarantor is a corporate entity

  • Certificates of Business Registration (relevant Forms 24 & 49 and M&A).
  • Audited Accounts for past 3 years and latest management account.
  • Company write up and management profile.
  • List of existing bankers (if any), details of borrowings and existing security arrangements.

Statement Of Accounts

  • Overdraft - Current account statements will be provided monthly.
  • Term Loan - Statements will be provided half yearly.
  • Trade facilities - Statements are available upon request.

Duration For Loan Application

Bank's decision shall be informed to the applicants in writing not later than 1 month from submission of complete sets of documents as stated herein.

Any appeal on unsuccessful loan application can be submitted in writing to:

Decision on the appeal shall be notified in writing within 2 weeks from the date the appeal is received.
