Money withdrawn from your insured deposit is no longer protected by PIDM if transferred to a deposit account payable outside Malaysia, held by a financial institution conducting Labuan banking/Islamic banking business or held by a non PIDM Member or non-deposit accounts such as unit trust and securities trading account. Please be informed that effective 10 July 2013, Hong Leong Bank Connect users are required to complete the new Recipient Reference field when performing Interbank GIRO (IBG) and 3rd Party Transfers.Such information can be a reference number of the invoice, bill, insurance policy or car registration particulars.
