1. How do I register as a Hong Leong Connect user?
You can register as a Hong Leong Connect user if you are an existing Hong Leong customer (i.e. hold any of the Hong Leong Bank/Islamic Bank’s products including Current/Savings accounts, Credit Cards, Loans/Financing-i & Fixed Deposit Accounts.)
If you are an existing customer and are not registered in Hong Leong Connect, you can always register at www.hongleongconnect.my.
If you are not an existing customer and wish to register as a Hong Leong Connect user, you will first have to apply for a Hong Leong Bank/Islamic Bank’s product (Current/Savings accounts, Credit Cards, Loans/Financing-i & Fixed Deposit Accounts) before you proceed. 2. Will I get to borrow the amount of money that I applied for?
The Personal Loan amount you are approved for depends on the outcome of your credit check. You may or may not get to borrow the amount of money that you applied for.
3. What are the documents required for me to apply for a Personal Loan in this campaign?
You will only need to upload your income documents when you apply under this campaign via Hong Leong Connect. The income documents you can upload are your latest 3 months pay slip and 3 months bank statement (matched with the salary bank in); OR, latest 2 years EPF statement; OR, latest 2 years LHDN e-filing acknowledgement.
4. After applying, what can I expect? How do I know what is my application status?
Upon submitting your application via Hong Leong Connect, you will immediately receive an SMS and email to notify you that your application is being processed. You will then receive another SMS and email within 48 hours to update you on the status of your application. If approved, you can log in to Hong Leong Connect at www.hongleongconnect.my to accept the approved Personal Loan and funds will be disbursed to your selected current or savings account within 30 minutes.
5. I am having issues applying online, who can I look for?

6. How do I pay for my monthly instalments?
You can pay via internet banking/IBG GIRO or Instant Transfer or transfers via any Hong Leong ATM.
7. Can I make early settlement for my approved Personal Loan?
Yes, you can. Please give us 3 months’ prior written notice. You will receive an interest rebate upon early settlement. Please refer to our Hong Leong Personal Loan Terms and Conditions for a more detailed explanation.
8. Are there any fees associated with the Personal Loan taken under this campaign?
Stamp duties of 0.5% of the approved loan amount will be deducted from the loan amount upfront prior to disbursement. Late fees of 1% p.a. on the outstanding amount owing applies. Please refer to the Personal Loan Product Disclosure Sheet for further details.
