Hong Leong Bank Launches the New Hong Leong Online (Business)

Innovating and strengthening its Cash Management Services
Hong Leong Bank (HLB) recently launched the new Hong Leong Online (Business), the enhanced business online banking which marks the beginning of HLB's journey in innovating and strengthening its Cash Management Services that is offered to its valued customers.
This launch will see the following important Account Management functions incorporated into the Hong Leong Online (Business); current account, foreign currency accounts, loan accounts and fixed deposits balance inquiries, transaction history, statement download and cheque status inquiries.
Apart from the improved system performance and the additional functions, customers can expect the following new benefits; the ability to view subsidiary companies' accounts with a single sign-on and the ability to view outstanding foreign exchange and money market contracts.
"In today's fast-paced and constantly on-the-go environment, HLB consistently tries to provide more innovative online banking solutions and the introduction of the Hong Leong Online (Business) is one such way," said Kua Wei Jin, Chief Operating Officer, Wholesale Banking. "To introduce and create awareness of the new features and benefits of the new Hong Leong Online (Business) to existing and potential customers, we will be holding several nationwide road shows over a period of the next two months. This will be a good avenue for customers to have a hands on experience with our latest offering."
For a start, HLB will migrating about 10,000 of its current active business customers to the new Hong Leong Online (Business). Other plans that have been lined up for customers by year end would be the introduction of online transaction capabilities to effect fund transfers, remittances, payments, treasury transactions and trade finance transaction with the latest security features.
In line with the government's direction in migrating cheques to electronic payments, HLB will also be enabling electronic payment of SOCSO contributions over the next two months, on top of the existing salary payments and EPF contribution payment capabilities. With the introduction of HLB's Online Payroll Services by mid 2010, we foresee that there will be even more corporate customers who will be using HLB to pay salary and EPF and SOCSO Contributions.
