HLB launches collectible golden oxen campaign in conjunction with Ox-pixous year
Hong Leong Bank's (HLB) recently launched Golden Prosperity Oxen Collection for its investment campaign has received overwhelming response from customersespecially from those already interested in collectible items which symbolize good fortune.
The campaign features 5 adorable oxen figurines as collectibles, one for each month from February 2009 to June 2009. Each figurine is limited to 280 piecesonly and every single one carries a unique serial number. The 24k gold-plated collectible is worth more than RM200.
According to Ms Moey Tan , HLB's Chief Operating Officer for Personal Financial Services, "customers only need to invest RM13,000 and above in any of theselected unit trust funds within the same month to be rewarded with an oxen figurine. Customers can only have 1 piece of each design."
"With fixed deposit interest rates lowered to 2% per annum, it effectively translates to a more than 30% cut on customers' income from savings. This hascaused many individuals to seek other avenues to grow their money. To help our customers maximize their hard-earned ringgit, the campaign offers anincredible sales charge on unit trust placements of as low as 2.48% or less during the promotion period."
Even investments via regular savings plan that starts from as low as RM100 per month will enjoy the lowered rate during the promotional period of 1 stFebruary to 30 th June 2009.
"In these days of market volatility, many of our customers have started to see the wisdom of setting up a regular savings plan to make smaller but fixedinvestments over a period of time to allow them to reap the benefits of dollar-cost-averaging instead of trying to time the market with a lump-suminvestment", adds Ms Tan.
