BNM All Economic Sectors (AES) Facility

BNM All Economic Sector (AES) is a financing scheme established by BNM to enhance access to financing for SMEs in all economic sectors, to support growth at reasonable cost. This financing scheme allows for working capital and capital expenditure financing.

Objective	Enhance access to financing for SMEs in all economic sectors, to support growth.
Eligibility	Malaysian SMEs¹ that fulfil the following criteria: Registered with the Companies Commission of Malaysia (SSM), or authorities/district offices in Sabah and Sarawak, statutory bodies for professional service providers. Shareholding by Public Listed Companies and Government Linked Companies (if any) in the SMEs shall not exceed 20%. Malaysians residing in Malaysia that hold a minimum of 51% shareholding in the business. ¹As defined by SME Corp. Malaysia’s Guideline for SME Definition, accessible at http://www.smecorp.gov.my/
Purpose of Financing	Capital expenditures Working capital (Not for refinancing of existing financing facilities)
Maximum Tenure	Up to 5 years
Financing Limit	Up to RM5 million
Financing Rate	Up to 7.00% p.a.

Note: The final approval on financing granted is subject to Bank credit assessment and discretion.
