In relation to the recent iPay88 (M) Sdn. Bhd. data compromise incident which may have potentially impacted your HLB cards, we would like to reassure you that HLB has taken necessary actions to protect our card customers against potential risk which may arise from this iPay88 incident.
HLB takes data security seriously and have taken immediate action. We have multiple countermeasures in place including increasing fraud detection scenarios within our real time fraud monitoring systems to detect fraudulent and out of the norm card usage behaviour. Any cards with suspicious behaviour will be blocked and suspended proactively.
We wish to reassure you that you may continue to use your HLB cards as usual. However, we would still remind you to stay vigilant at all times. Here are some of the best practices to safeguard your HLB cards:
- Do not carry your PIN together with your cards or disclose it to anyone
- Do not disclose your card details to anyone
- Do not lend your cards to anyone
- Only perform transactions on secured and trusted websites
- Closely monitor your monthly statements and transaction alerts received from HLB
In the event you detect any unauthorised transactions on your HLB cards, please contact our Contact Centre at 03-7626 8899 and we will arrange for a replacement card immediately. This line is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. You may also login to HLB Connect Online Banking to report unauthorised transactions or temporarily freeze your card.
