FLOOD RELIEF ASSISTANCE PROGRAMME AVAILABLE FOR HLB AND HLISB CUSTOMERS AFFECTED BY FLOODS IN SABAH AND SARAWAK
KUALA LUMPUR, 31 JANUARY 2025– In response to the recent floods impacting communities in Sabah and Sarawak, Hong Leong Bank and Hong Leong Islamic Bank (“HLB” or the “Bank”) today announced a comprehensive Flood Relief Assistance Programme to support affected customers. The program offers financial relief and assistance to individuals, SMEs, and micro-enterprises facing hardship due to the floods.
The Flood Relief Assistance Programme offers up to a six-month payment deferment on loan and financing facilities, including credit cards, for affected individuals, SME and micro-enterprise customers. The Bank is also offering free replacement of bank-related documents such as debit and credit cards as well as cheques and bank statements damaged or lost in the floods. For existing SME and micro-enterprise customers, additional financing will be made available to those who require working capital to facilitate their business recovery as a result of the floods.
To apply, customers just need to provide their account holder name, IC number, account number, contact number, email address, the address of the flood-affected location, and a photo of their flood situation.
