Notice of Amendment: Merchant Services Terms and Conditions

RM2 Paper Statement Fee for Individual Accounts


Kuala Lumpur, 23 April 2026

 

Dear Valued Clients,

 

Please be informed that we have updated our Merchant Services Terms and Conditions to ensure continued alignment with regulatory standards and to provide greater clarity on merchant obligations.

 

Effective Dates:

  • New Merchants: Effective immediately (23 Apr 2026).
  • Existing Merchants: Effective 21 days from this notice (14 May 2026).

Summary of Changes

20. Indemnity

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

We have updated the General Indemnity section to clarify legal standards and responsibilities under the Agreement. Key updates include:

  • Refined Scope of Expenses: Clarified that indemnity covers costs "incurred or suffered" by the Bank.
  • Causation Language: Updated to cover claims arising "directly or indirectly" from the listed occurrences.
  • Conduct Definitions: Added "acts" and "misconduct" to the list of merchant actions subject to indemnity.
  • Regulatory Alignment: Explicitly included the requirement to comply with "any applicable laws" alongside the terms of the Agreement.
