Hong Leong Bank Berhad’s wholly-owned subsidiary, Hong Leong Bank Vietnam Limited recently inaugurated its new branch in Binh Duong Province, its fourth branch in Vietnam since it commenced operations in the country in October 2009.
The Binh Duong branch which is strategically located at the Canary Complex on the main boulevard of Binh Duong will serve the financial needs of the business community and individuals working and living there. Binh Duong is home to 28 established industrial zones and supported by well-developed infrastructure. Its trade and service grew at an impressive rate of 16.8% in the first half of 2012, making it the fastest growing province in the country.
“The opening of our Binh Duong branch is a significant milestone in our journey in Vietnam and underscores the Bank’s commitment to grow with the country as well as add value to the financial lives of our customers and business partners,” said Datuk Yvonne Chia, Group, Managing Director, Hong Leong Bank at the launch.

Besides Binh Duong, Hong Leong Bank Vietnam’s three other outlets are in Hanoi, An Duong Vuong and Ho Chi Minh City, where it is headquartered. The Bank’s customers can access to a network of over 15,000 ATMs and 50,000 point-of-sale outlets nationwide.
Hong Leong Bank Berhad is the first Southeast Asian bank to be granted a license to operate a wholly-owned foreign commercial bank.
