How to get started?
Step 1:
Launch HLB Connect App
Step 2:
Go to Menu > App Settings > Manage QR Pay Setting
Step 3:
- Toggle the switch to “ON” to enable the UnionPay feature.
- Select and manage the bank account linked to your QR Pay.
Step 4:
Click on “Authorise” to securely set up on your device.
Step 5:
While the panda is dancing away, the bank is securely linking your account to the global payment
Step 6:
You are now ready to “Scan & Pay” in China

Just scan the UnionPay or Weixin QR code using QR Pay on your HLB Connect App to complete your payment in seconds.
Step 1:
Launch HLB Connect App and tap ‘QR Pay’
Step 2:
Scan the QR code of the stores that displays the UnionPay or WeChat Pay QR
Step 3:
Check the amount shown on the screen or key in the amount yourself
Step 4:
Review the merchant name and amount, then tap “Ready to Pay”
Step 5:
Authenticate the transaction using your preferred security method
Step 6:
Confirm the transaction by tapping “Authorise”
Step 7:
Transaction is successful
“Show QR to Pay” is currently in development and will be introduced to the HLB Connect App shortly.
How to identify the correct QR signages that enable payments:
You can scan this
QR display that shows either a UnionPay logo or a Weixin Pay logo will enable payments to work.
You can't scan this
QR display with multiple logos must include UnionPay to be accepted.

Important Notes:
Retail purchase transactions and other payments conducted in China will be settled in CNH.
If you do not have sufficient CNH balance in your multi-currency account to complete a transaction, the transaction will be charge in MYR.
For transactions in other currencies, the entire transaction amount shall be charge in MYR unless you have sufficient balance in your multi-currency account for the specific currencies.
