Security Updates: New ATM Withdrawal Limit Tiers (Effective 30 November 2026)
To better protect your account against scams and fraud, a tiered daily ATM Withdrawal Limit will take effect on 30 November 2026 for the first 90 days with us, as outlined below:

Note: This change does not apply to customers who updated their ATM Withdrawal Limit prior to 30 November 2026.

If you need to withdraw an amount exceeding your daily ATM Withdrawal Limit, please visit your nearest HLB or HLB Islamic branch for over-the-counter assistance.

Q. What is Account Duration?
A: Account Duration refers to the duration of the customer's banking relationship with the bank, starting from the date the customer's profile was first created in the bank's records.
Q. Who does the new limit apply to?
A: The new limit applies to customers that are within the 90-day duration.
Q. How will the new limit control impact me?
(i) If I am an existing customer who is still maintaining the default limit of RM2,000?
A: If your account has been open for less than 90 days, your daily ATM Withdrawal Limit will follow the new tiered structure.
(ii) If I am an existing customer who has previously updated to a new limit above the threshold?
A: Your current ATM Withdrawal Limit remains unchanged if it was updated before 30 November 2026. However, if you choose to adjust your limit while your account is less than 90 days old, the new tiered limits will apply.
(iii) Will I be affected if my account has been open for more than 90 days?
A: No, your account is unaffected. You can continue to maintain or adjust your daily ATM Withdrawal Limit up to the standard maximum limit of RM10,000.

Via HLB Connect App:
1.Log in to your app.
2.Select your Current / Savings Account.
3.Tap the 'Services' tab, then select 'Debit Card Settings and Limits’.
4.Your available limit will be displayed under ATM Withdrawal.
Via HLB Connect Online (Web):
1.Log in at www.hlb.com.my.
2.Click on 'Other Services’.
3.Under 'Debit/ATM Card', select 'Card Transaction Limit’.
4.Your available limit will be displayed under ATM Withdrawal.
