Q: What are the Merchant Category Codes (MCC) which are eligible for up to 8% cash back for Petrol, Groceries and Dining?
A: The MCC are listed in the table below:
Q: Currently, my selected spend categories are Mobile, Petrol and Departmental Stores. Can I request to keep these categories that I want?
A: You will not be able to request for other categories to enjoy up to 8% cash back. This is because we have pre-selected the top 3 spend categories amongst WISE cardholders. Petrol, Groceries and Dining will be the pre-selected categories to enjoy up to 8% effective 1 July 2019. However, all other categories besides Petrol, Groceries, Dining, Government and JomPay will still enjoy 0.25% unlimited cash back.
Q: Can I request to switch spend category if I am willing to pay for the maintenance fee of RM10?
A: Switching of spend categories will not be available effective 1 July 2019.
Q: Can you define Weekends and Weekdays?
A: Weekends refer to Saturdays and Sundays whilst Weekdays refer to Monday, Tuesday, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays.
Q: How do I qualify for up to 8% cash back on the 3 spend categories?
A: You must meet minimum spend of RM500 (posted transactions) for the month to qualify.
Q: If I performed a Petrol transaction on a Sunday and the transaction posted on the following day which is a Monday, does it mean I only enjoy 1% cash back on Petrol?
A: You will enjoy 8% cash back because you performed the transaction on a Weekend. Please always bear in mind that, to qualify for up to 8% cash back on Petrol, Groceries and Dining, your total posted transaction must meet minimum spend of RM500 for the month.
Q: How are cash backs on Weekdays and Weekends calculated?
A: If you meet the minimum spend of RM500 (posted transaction) for the month, here are the illustrations:
Total posted transaction for the month = RM140 + RM380 = RM520
Total posted transaction for the month = RM220 + RM480 = RM700
Total posted transaction for the month = RM10 + RM685 = RM695
Illustration 4 – Use Aug 2019 month as an example
Q: Does the Cardholder meet the minimum spend of RM500?
A: Yes, total posted transactions amount for August 2019 that will form part of the minimum spend of RM500 is RM620 (which consist of RM400 from JomPay, RM100 from Groceries, RM100 from Dining and RM20 from Others) because the transaction of RM500 from JomPay will form part of the minimum spend of RM500.
The amount of RM500 from Cash-On-Call transactions will not form part of the minimum spend of RM500 as it is not an Eligible Retail Transaction.
The amount of RM100 from the Petrol transaction will not form part of the minimum spend of RM500 for August 2019 as it is only posted in September 2019.
Q: How much Cashback does the Cardholder earn for JomPay transaction performed on 8 August 2019?
A: RM0 as transaction(s) for JomPay are not eligible for the Cashback.

A: RM0 as the Petrol transaction is posted on the following month; ie: Sep 2019, notwithstanding that the Cardholder has meet the RM500 minimum spend requirement.
[The Petrol cash back of 8% will be awarded for the month of Sep 2019 if total minimum spend of RM500 (posted transaction) is met in Sep 2019.]
Q: What is the total amount of Cashback the Cardholder earns for the month of August 2019?

A: Sorry, this is not allowed because WISE cash back is awarded based on posted transaction.
